CALL FOR PARTICIPATION . . . VISUAL ARTISTS, MUSICIANS, GALLERIES, ALTERNATIVE SPACES
The 7th Annual ON AND OFF FREDERICKSBURG ROAD STUDIO TOUR, organized by Bihl Haus Arts, is scheduled for February 22 & 23 2014, with a preview party at Bihl Haus on Friday, Feb. 21, 2014. Our goal is to highlight the quality, variety, and sheer numbers of professional artists—visual, musical, performing, literary–who live and/or work in the Los Angeles Heights, Keystone, Beacon Hill, Monticello Park, Jefferson, Woodlawn Lake and Alta Vista neighborhoods. VISUAL ARTISTS: Do you have a working art studio on or off Fredericksburg Rd. in a participating neighborhood? Then we are looking for you! All media welcome. Live in the area, but your studio is elsewhere? That’s O.K! We’re arranging alternative exhibition spaces on and off Fredericksburg Rd. where you can exhibit your work. Don’t live in the area but your art studio does? That will work, too! For more information, please contact Kellen McIntyre at email@example.com or Office: 732.3502 or Cell 383.9732. OTHER ART FORMS will be considered on a case-by-case basis. GALLERIES/ALTERNATIVE SPACES are eligible to participate, too. Exhibition spaces just outside the neighborhood boundaries will also be considered on a case-by-case basis. 2013 participants must apply but they are pre-approved to participate. New applicants, please apply to the review process. Registration form is available online.. Application deadline has been extended to Friday, Dec. 13, 2013.
7th Annual On and Off Fredericksburg Road Studio Tour
A self-guided two-day tour of artist studios and galleries “on and off” Fredericksburg Road in San Antonio, Texas.
February 22 and 23, 2014
Spend the weekend meandering through artists’ studios and area galleries. From reclaimed former neighborhood grocery stores to intimate backyard sanctuaries, the studios on the tour provide environments in which artists create a variety of works, such as large-scale ceramic sculptures, metalwork, one-of-a-kind light fixtures, art photography, beadwork and embroidery, and painting in a variety of styles. Demonstrations, hospitality, and opportunities to purchase art are all part of the On and Off Fred experience.
