Richard De La O is a self-taught artist who has been painting for more than 15 years. He favors themes representing Hispanic culture as well as the Day of the Dead and the flavor of San Antonio. Richard is also a muralist. A welder by trade, Richard has also created numerous iron sculptures using horseshoe nails and scrap iron. Some of the most influential people of this great city have added his artwork to their collections. This versatile artist creates from the heart, because, as he says, “It runs in the blood.”
