“Currently I work with the inherent textures of humans and nature to show their archetypal qualities encrypted in everything natural. There are stories written in the lines of our palms and in the tree trunks, leaves and mountain ranges of the world. As I work with this subject I find myself studying the ancestry and identity of people, land masses and other organic forms of life through their inherent textures, and recognizing their connectedness. Through abstracted natural textures I continue this ongoing theme using the silhouetted figures of real people paired with gardens, plants and other natural surroundings, and attempt to tell the stories of each subliminally through their enigmatic shadows.”
