Margaret Reyna @ Leach Lumber • 40
Native San Antonio artist Margaret Reyna earned a BA in Fine Arts from Trinity University. She is active in local art communities as well as in Rockport, Texas. Her inspiration comes from life experiences, both cultural and spiritual and her work has at times an eclectic vibe. She recently joined her husband, David Reyna, in a creative venture aimed at re-purposing furniture and vintage finds. Their collection is a collaboration of original paintings and artistic furniture for everyday living.
Margaret organized the Leach Lumber exhibition, which includes husband David Reyna and Fred featured artists Allison Schockner (wearable textiles) and Cee Jay Black (jewelry). Also exhibiting are Gina Pelligrino (recycled creations), Maxwell Johnson, who will draw live portraits in charcoal, Elliot Trevino (jewelry), 89-year-old folk artist Maria Luisa Vasconsuelos of Portugal, Amy Jones (soft sculpture animals) and metal artist Shawn Corder.
