The mission of the Network for Young Artists (NYA) is to promote art and culture through voice, dance, musical instrument and performing arts programs. Its objectives are to provide resources for youth, ages 4-20 years old, to develop their talents in the performing arts and to provide opportunities to showcase their talents, while providing mentoring and educational programs to ensure they succeed academically.
NYA members/alumni who have recently performed professionally or have signed professional music contracts include Mariachi del Oro Sebastian de la Cruz, a former NYA member and top contender on “America’s Got Talent,” and Isabel Marie Sanchez, a current member of NYA who performed on “Sábado Gigante,” was a contestant on “La Voz Kids,” and is now a recording artist working with Mr. Abraham Quintanilla, the father of Selena. Our most famous alum is Ally Brooke, who recently won an MTV Music Award with her girl group, Fifth Harmony.
NYA features current students performing their favorite songs in the following genres: Tejano, Pop, Spanish Pop, Country, Hip Hop, Rock and a variety of others genres of music.
The Network for Young Artists invites you to view a performance by our NYA students on Saturday and Sunday from 1 to 3 pm at NYA Studios during the 10th annual On & Off Fredericksburg Studio Tour.
NYA is also pleased to host featured guest artist Cosby Lindquist.
